Local boys Shanghai Blues, are the four-piece who are bringing some grit to the indie scene and shaking up London venues with their hard hitting, guitar driven sound.
They’ve had one hell of a year so far with well deserved support from the likes of BBC Introducing and Spotify following the release of their sophomore single ‘Night Tears’, and Spanner In The Works couldn’t be more proud to bring them to the Luna Lounge as part of a string of dates the lads will be embarking on this spring. Keep an eye out for new music from this lot and snap up your tickets asap.

“pulsating riffs and catchy vocal hooks” – It’s All Indie
Formed in early 2016, Blushes are creating fleshed out songs from acoustic material, drawing influence from a range of genres including experimental rock, soul, indie and groove based pop.
They have just released their 3rd single ‘Skin’ from their debut EP Private Viewing.
Support comes from Essex four-piece The Recoupes, drawing influence from indie giants such as Catfish and The Bottlemen and The Strokes. These boys are making a name for themselves having supported The Hoosiers last summer at O2 Academy Islington shortly after their single ‘Drunk Messages’ aired on BBC Introducing Essex.
“This new EP is full of punchy guitar riffs, cool lead guitar licks and a whole lot of girl trouble. It’s awesome.” – The Daily Listening
Originally from The Sneaky Nixons, Charlie has now moved down to east London and will open Spanner In The Works’ 2nd ever gig with an acoustic set.
